Finding Special Items in World of Warcraft

This guide will be very useful to you because it will give you ideas where you will find some of the most coveted items in the World of Warcraft. You will use these items to gain extra gold or as materials to craft awesome stuffs that you will use as you go on gaming.

I’ve listed these items per character so it will be easier for you to use:

  • Black Lotus – This is located near the cave of the blue dragon in Winterspring. You can find some of these also on Badlands and Eastern Plaguelands
  • Blood of the Mountain – It is usually in the Dark Nodes in the Searing Mountains.
  • Dark Runes – Kill mobs in Scholo and you will get drops of these.
  • Larval Acid – Grind slugs in Eastern Plaguelands to be able to get this.
  • Stonescale Eels – You will find this item on Kalimdor coasts.

Items in the World of Warcraft are in Color Codes. Memorize these color coding so you will know if the item you found is a rare one or just a waste.

  • Grey – Poor Quality
  • White – Common Quality
  • Green – Uncommon Quality
  • Blue – Rare Quality
  • Purple – Epic Quality
  • Orange – Legendary Quality
  • Undecided Color – Artifact

You will find an infinite number of items in the World of Warcraft during your lifetime. You need the character types of these items to make out of them. Here are additional information about item types which you need to learn as you go on playing in the World of Warcraft.

  • Not Bound – Items can be equipped, removed, or traded at any time and in any order.
  • Bind on Equip – You can trade this item if you haven’t equipped it. Once you equip it, you can no longer trade it with other players.
  • Bind on Use – Once you have used this item, you can no longer trade it.
  • Bind on Acquire – Once you pick up the item, you will no longer be able to trade it with other players. Be very careful not to loot this item if you’re not supposed to have it permanently.
  • Quest Items – Quest Items are bound to your character. You cannot trade them.
