In World of Warcraft, every player knows that it’s necessary to have a good amount of gold to go with whatever equipment, weapons, armor and mount you may have in order to be able to compete with other players. No matter how much experience you have, you need to have the best equipment, and that costs lots of money. If you’re without your equipment, you’re at a sore disadvantage compared to other players. After all, that sword or mount you’ve been wanting is going to cost more gold than you may have, and if you’re intending to go into the higher level areas, the strongest equipment is needed. Here are a few ways to get World of Warcraft gold.
One of the best ways to get gold is to obviously train for it, meaning you go out and kill enemies and take whatever items and other valuables they may have on them at the time. When you do this, make sure you have a mage with you or someone else who can heal. In a way, it’s like old-school console RPGs; you go into the field and kill enemies, not using items to heal yourself but just using magic Cure spells or the like. Items cost money – and the more items you use, the more you have to restock. Also, try to accurately gauge your level. Yes, you could take your level 20 fighter into the level 10 enemies, but there’s not really going to be a lot of gold from them relative to what you should be getting. Try to fight monsters that are within a few levels of you – maybe two or three in either direction. This is because it takes a lot of time to get any worthy amount of gold from low-level enemies.
Once you get a good amount of kills on your record, you’re likely going to have gained a few items to sell, because odds are you picked up armors you already had. So, you can go sell these, particularly to the goblin tribes. The goblins are pretty shrewd traders – they’ve had to be, dealing with Alliance and Horde, after all. The thing to remember about trading with goblins is to trade like them. Be aggressive in your selling. Every chance you get on the trading forum (and ONLY the trading forum) advertise your findings so you’ll get the most interest. Also, set your price by looking in Auction houses – people are often willing to buy for higher than you think, so price your item at slightly lower than similar in the auction House.
When you’re trading, have the actual transaction be done through a private message, or whisper. This helps to avoid too much competition – you can deal with one offer at a time. Another thing to keep in mind is the seasoning and location. In the mountains, where lots of ice-elemental creatures live, you’re not going to do too well trying to sell a fire-based weapon or piece of armor, unless you happen across a character that plans on going to such a place.
Farming for gold in World of Warcraft is half killing enemies, half selling the items you get from them and all persistence. Sure, there are programs that tell you how to do it quickly, but it really takes the fun out of the game. You’re an adventure hero; play like one.

Q. Can Anyone Level a Death Knight?
A. No. Only players that have reach level 55 with any character can create and level a new death knight.
Q. Is leveling a Death Knight similar to leveling any other character?
A. Yes and No. Death knights are created at level 55, and they start on an instance like zone, that you get out of only a few levels later, meaning you can skip Azeroth all together and skip to Outland when you get out of the starting zone. Other then that, yes, leveling death knight is done the same way: Experience gained threw questing and mob killing.
Q. Are there going to be special guides for leveling a Death Knight?
A. Chances are that there will be several “Special” Guides, but truth is that since death knight level just the same way as any other class, any WOW Leveling guide that is already being used will do perfectly well, meaning you don’t need to wait for Wrath of the lich king to get one.
Q. What spec should I chose for leveling?
A. The best tree for leveling has to be the “Blood” Talent tree, and you might want to mix it up with the “Unholy” talent tree.
Like other classes in WOW you can recognize good leveling talents by their decryption. Any talent that gains you some kind of advantage out of “killing a mob the grants experience or honor” indicated this is Leveling a leveling talent, as well as talents that are focused on regenerating health/mana/rune power etc. These talents speed up solo leveling process because leveling involves a lot of grinding, and regeneration talent cuts the down times between mobs dramatically.
To name a few death knight talents that answer to the description: Butchery, Vendetta, Rune Tap, Mark of blood etc.
Q. What if I want to level as frost spec?
A. Frost spec is mainly targeted at tanking. It’s not undoable, but you might want to reconsider leveling in frost spec unless you level with a group of friends and you will be mainly questing and instancing together.
Q. Will it be easier to level a Death Knight right after expansion or should I wait.
A. That’s a tricky one. The advantage of leveling a Death knight right after expansion is that you will level with a LOT more players, so you will never be alone, and will probably be able to find group members to level with or do instancing pretty easy. However, that might be annoying to finish a lot of the quests because so many players will be trying to kill the same mobs or gather the same resources. Best way to find out will be to create one on your server after expansion, and level until 60. If you realize that doing quests in your server annoys you because too many are leveling, don’t be discouraged, it will change in a month or two.

Leveling in the World of Warcraft can, for some, be compared to whacking your head into a wall: painful and something to be avoided.
Say what? Ok, to be fair, the first time, or even the first few times, leveling characters in WoW is a kick. Many of the quests are clever, fun, interesting, and have a good story behind them. Of course, some are little more than an excuse to kill off a bunch of Raptors, but others have a lot more detail, story, and humor.
Still, like any story told more than once, if you’ve done the quests several times they get old. If you’ve leveled many characters they might be really old. Trying different races doesn’t help, since they all do the same quests once they get into their teens. If you’ve leveled many characters you might even find it … painful. Doing it yet again becomes somewhat unattractive.
People do the leveling grind anyway because the end game content is so good and because their friends are already there and/or they want to try another character at that level. .
Playing different classes helps to alleviate the tedium, since the strategies and abilities are different, but still, it’s all been seen before. PvP might help here. Twink out your character a bit and run around ganking other players. PvP adds a level of interest to the game, especially when the players that you’ve been ganking get some pals and look for revenge. But PvP doesn’t help you level.
So, painful remarks aside, here are four ways to get leveled quickly:
1) Buy a level 70 character off ebay.com. This character has the levels and probably has the gear and might even have some cash (gold.) Take some time to learn to play and develop your skills. Of course, the one downside here is that Blizzard will ban you if they catch you, since this is against their Terms of Service.
2) Buy a power leveling service. Pay some cash, they level the character for you. Come back in a couple of weeks and you have a brand spanking new 70. What could be better? Blizzard specifically bans character buying and power leveling in its Terms of Service and they are within their rights to ban your account of the catch you violating their ToS. But what’s several hundred dollars down the drain?
3) Instance grinding – Find some high level character who is willing to take you through the many instances in the game. He will kill everything for you while you collect the XP and the gear that the bosses drop. Quite legal, quite boring, and you’ll have to work on your skills when done, but it’s fast.
Treat yourself to an early birthday present and get a WoW leveling guide. These guides provide you with a step by step path, already done by experts, that will take you from level 1 to 70 as quickly as possible. All of the “what to do and where to go” info has been provided ahead of time. All you have to do is follow the path provided and you’ll level up faster than you ever have before.
Then once you have good WoW leveling guide in your hot little hands, try this: If you can find a willing, or unwilling, friend get her to open a new account. As of this writing Blizzard is offering a promotion where if you invite a friend then you and your friend will get triple experience for monsters slain and quests performed!
Team up with your friend. Duos level faster than singles anyway, due to less downtime and faster slaying, now add triple experience to that and you’ll see the levels fly by faster than ever before.
There are some conditions, so read the Blizzard FAQ page, but if you have a willing friend this is a killer way to go. Some people with enough computing power to run two simultaneous WoW games will get a second account, with the friend bonus, and play both on the same machine.
Now, no leveling guide, for WoW or any other game, will be a magic pill that will poof you right to 70. It won’t get you leveled to 70 in mere hours of in-game time, since you still have to deal with all those monsters. It will, however, show you a well thought out, fast and efficient path that will get you leveled in as little time as possible. Even if your game time is limited to a few hours per week.
Assuming that you’re still bored, or in agony at the thought of more leveling, one thing that will help is to play energizing music in the background (no suggestions here since my tastes are likely way different from yours.) This will help keep you awake and motivated.
Some people who are skilled at multi-tasking have even been known to watch movies or read books while leveling! Sometimes however they also find themselves parked in a cliff face, due to having dozed off or the book/movie being really good.
The bottom line is this – save your sanity and invest in a World of Warcraft leveling guide. In addition to your mind you’ll save many hours of time, days even, on the leveling process. And isn’t your sanity worth it?

Obviously Blizzard isn’t going to simply hand you a bunch of 24 slot bags just for buying the new expansion when it comes out. Instead they are finding other ways of doing a similar feature.
Mounts Now Learnable
No longer will you need to take up at least two bag slots with your mounts (one land and one flying). Lets not kid each other though, most of us carry around at least 4 mounts or more right now. I mean you never know when you might want to ride the Cenarion War Hippogryph instead of the Netherdrake; or when you might want to ride the Skeletal War Horse instead of the Black War Kodo.
In WotLK none of that will matter at all. You will learn all of your mounts along the way. Meaning you can carry all of them with you. Mounts will no longer be taking up bag space or in your bank space. They will be included on a new chracter tab that will allow you to summon the mount.
I know this is going to save me all of these bag slots on my main character:
1.Nether Drake 2.Nether Ray 3.Regular Epic Flyer 4.Cenarion War Hippogryph 5.Those silly Scarab Mounts from AQ40 – in every color of course! 6.Black War Kodo 7.Black War Raptor 8.Regular Epic Land Mount 9.Big Giant Chicken (BE Mount)
So thats a total of 9 free bag slots – and they aren’t stopping there!
Summonable Vanity Pets Too!
Thats right players will be to carry every single vanity pet with them also without taking up a single bag or bank space. Now I wish I didn’t throw all of my vanity pets away – I am just always so pressed on back and bag space taht my wealth of epics seemed more important!
I know most people have an absolute ton of vanity pets…in fact some people have banks full of them. This will their ultimate dream for implementation by Blizzard.
Blizzard Listens and Responds Again
What this truly means is Blizzard is listening the players and acting on the things that they want. We complained about bag space – and believe me I know how it is – just raid a druid for a little while and you will want to cry. Between reagents and 4-5 different sets of gear it gets pretty tough.
Instead of just giving us 30 slot bags across the board they are using more efficient ways of giving players more bag space. I mean think about how hard it can be to find stuff in your bags or bank now? Now think about 30% more space and how hard it would be to find stuff then!
Instead they have decided to cuto down on the nonsense we have to carry in our bags. Instead we can now have just the essential in our bags.
BRAVO Blizzard another great change in one of the best ways possible… I continue to commend you!
Its obvious to see that for now World of Warcraft is and will remain to be the big kid on the block – and they aren’t planning on stepping out of the way anytime soon!

Since the emergence of professional arcade gamers in the 1980’s, playing games for a living has been a dream for many children, teenagers and adults alike. Whilst only a lucky few have been able to attach themselves to Donkey Kong for a living, or compete in Korea on the latest first-person shooter, the 21st century has seen the emergence of a whole new generation of professional players. And there are a lot of them!
The world of massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs to the techno-savvy amongst you) has provided opportunist gamers the chance to earn small fortunes from developing fan sites, add-ons, wallpapers and instructional eBooks. But the most profitable niche of all is that of “Real-Money Trading” (RMT). It works quite simply; professional gamers play within MMORPGs with the sole purpose of selling services to other gamers. Yes that’s right; millions of people all over the World happily pay out huge sums of money to let people play the game for them. In some cases that’s literally true (and is dubbed “power levelling”) but for most this includes buying pre-played accounts or buying virtual currency for the game.
By far the most popular target of these services is World of Warcraft, with over 10,000,000 gamers subscribing to the game across the Western world. The game’s currency (WoW Gold) is currently the hottest property in the RMT market, with millions of dollars being spent every day to gain this precious in-game resource. Recent estimates suggested that over $500,000,000 in sales were made last year for WoW Gold, and that figure is set to grow still further in 2008. The release of an upcoming expansion pack, Wrath of the Lich King, is set to increase demand still further creating a buying frenzy when the pack is finally released.
Fuelling this money-train is a workforce of near 500,000, largely based in East Asia. There have been many claims that these workers (or “Gold Farmers” as they are dubbed) are poorly paid and badly treated, especially within China. This has tarnished the industry’s reputation with many Western gamers, but is largely attributed to a lack of understanding of the cost of living difference between East and West. Whilst $1 per hour won’t pay the rent in the USA, it will afford you a very reasonable standard of living in the provinces of China where this work takes place.
Suffice to say, this is an industry to watch, especially if you’re an aspiring entrepreneur. Many MMORPG-millionaires have been made to this day and, with many more titles being released on the horizon, the future looks very bright.

There is no doubt that 5,000g is a lot. It can be acquired by methods I have already showed you, but there are still many more secrets and better ways.
I am letting you in on one of the really great ways. We will take a look at Primal Farming. Primals are in high demand and I have made some serious bank from them.
It is very rare to get a Primal as a drop; usually you will get yours from collecting 10 motes of the same name and then converting them to a single Primal.
There are a few vendors that actually sell these Motes as Limited Supply Items. They are Dealer Najeeb in Netherstorm and Deal Tariq in Terokkar Forest. You can get these for 16s which is a freaking bargain. Other than that you will have to farm them.
The motes can be dropped from mobs of various levels in areas all throughout the Outlands. The object is to find the hot spot where you can kills mobs fast and get good drop rates for those Motes.
There are quite a few people already doing this, so you will have to try to find a spot where the competition does not slow you down too much. It is also best to do it during your server’s off period, which is usually like EARLY morning/middle of the night.
Do not take everyone else’s advice to farm Motes in the Elemental Plateau in Nagrand. While there is a good drop rate there, it has a few problems. It is only accessible by a flying mount… which obviously you are not going to have yet; and everybody knows about it this place. Competition is too much to make the rates worth a damn.
Primal Water – Silmyr Lake
Primal Water is one of the more valuable Primals, and the Motes can be farmed in several great locations.
The best spot of all is usually Silmyr Lake. This is a small lake in the far northern part of Terokkar Forest; just head out of Shattrath City and go north a bit. You are going to kill some Shimmerscale Eels, which drop the Mote of Water about 15% of the time. Do you hear that? I think I hear those mounts coming! Okay, I’m not funny… I will get on with the lesson.
The eels are level 62/63, and they have pretty low health; this means that at level 70 you will be burning through these bad boys. You can even farm here as a mid 60’s toon if you want.
At level 70 you be able to get around 40 Motes of Water here in an hour. That 4 Primal water and around another 100gold. If you are a miner, go ahead and grab the Fel Iron around the shore; and grab the junk that drops too b/c you can get a couple more gold selling it to the Vendor.
You will want to be sure and bring water breathing potions or gear with you, and probably an Azure Silk Belt for the speed buff.
While you are at it you might as well grab the quest for this area. “Rather Be Fishin” is available at Seth at the north end of Shattrath’s Lower City. As a reward you get Seth’s Graphite Fishing Pole. That fishing pole will come in handy when I give you more info on fishing in your riches.
Primal Water – Other Locations
There are some more spots to cash in on Primal Water besides Silmyr Lake. The Lagoon in Zangarmarsh, west of Cenarion Refuge, is loaded with Lagoon Eels that drop Motes of Water. These Eels are a bit tougher though, and the spawn rate is lower; but odds are you will not be competing against many people at all here.
You fisher dudes and chicks out there can bring in Motes of Water from fishing pretty much anywhere in Nagrand, Zangarmarsh or Terokkar. Watch for patches of water in Nagrand’s Skysong Lake, up north; and Lake Sunspring, in the west.
